This past week saw two Highlights Nature Journal Events - first off Stanhope and next Bardon Mill.
Both events saw some brilliant observations and artworks from the talented artists attending. At Stanhope we had a walk along the river looking for some nature and of course found lots! Even the most modest little observation is worth capturing as a drawing and the artists were well on their way to completing their journals by end of session.
Bardon Mill provided a woodland setting in their lovely community centre and there were some fantastic trees and ferns to observe and draw. A new focus for this session was a closer look at handwriting and how to create lovely little captions to complement the journal illustrations.
